From Bażantarnia to the Estate
The history of this place dates back to the 18th century, when the area of today's Arche Garnizon Białystok was part of Bażantarnia belonging to the Branicki family – one of the elements of the extensive garden complex around the Branicki Palace. It was used for recreation and pheasant breeding, with their number reaching over a thousand.
After the decline of the family's significance, the area lost its representative character and was transformed into a private estate, retaining only the historical name.

Military Identity of the Place
At the end of the 19th century, the area was taken over by the Russian Empire, creating an extensive barracks complex here. An organized space was created with a central parade ground and headquarters, residential, and utility buildings.
In the following years, various military formations were stationed here – from the tsarist cavalry, through German troops, to the Polish Army and post-war units, including the Border Guard. The place served an important military function for decades.

New Life - Revitalization of Arche
After 1989, the complex gradually lost its significance and deteriorated. A breakthrough came with the acquisition of part of the area by the Arche Group and assigning it a new function.
Today, Arche Garnizon Białystok is a harmonious blend of history and modernity – four historic and three new buildings create a cohesive hotel complex. The original layout and brick architecture have been preserved, transforming the former barracks into a hotel, restaurant, and conference spaces.
This is an example of revitalization that restores value to a place with a rich history.
